Creating a better world through Unlimited You
"Building a brighter world through Unlimited You, where students, staff, families, and the wider community come together to enhance opportunities and nurture the holistic development of every child."
Anaheim Union High School District serves 5 cities in Orange County (Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, La Palma, and Stanton). We are home to 22 schools – 8 Junior High Schools, 8 Comprehensive High Schools, Oxford Academy, Hope School, Gilbert HS, Polaris our Independent Studies program and Cambridge Virtual Academy.
The city of Anaheim, with its mix of cultures and backgrounds, boasts a population of 346,824, making it the most populous city in Orange County. It also stands as the second-largest city in the county in terms of land area. The demographics of Anaheim are a testament to its vibrancy and dynamic nature, with communities from all over the world calling it home, making it a microcosm of global traditions and modern innovations. While the grandeur of Disneyland and the fame of our sports teams might be what the world knows best, there’s so much more to our story. Beyond them, many don’t see the rich tapestry of diverse cultures, languages, and histories that our students bring, which truly enriches our community.
Our commitment to realizing the vision of a community school stemmed from a profound internal transformation, resonating with voices that championed authentic collaborations ‘with’ the community, rather than merely ‘for’ it. While the funding from the state of California acknowledges our initiatives, the true testament to our success lies in the vitality and passion of our schools and neighborhoods. We aim beyond service provision; we celebrate and build upon the unique strengths and assets of our families.
