Youth Adult Partnerships Closing & Recap

Building authentic youth adult partnerships is not just a strategy but a commitment to equity, shared leadership, and meaningful connection. When adults intentionally create space for youth to lead, listen actively, and work alongside them as true partners, we build stronger schools, more engaged communities, and empowered young people.

This work takes time and practice. The activities and tools shared in this module are just a starting point. Whether you’re a school site staff or a parent, you have the power to make daily decisions that honor youth voices and foster a deeper sense of belonging.

Partnership means doing with, not for or to. Start with listening, stay with learning.

Reflection

Ask yourself:
How can I create systems that invite, not just allow youth voice?
If I left tomorrow, would youth voice still exist here?
Where can I step back to let a young person step forward?
What shift can I make this year toward deeper partnership?
