Twin Rivers Unified School District has an unwavering commitment to every student’s journey to ensure all students graduate college and career ready. Today we are the 27th largest public school system in California serving Pre-kindergarten through 12th grade and adult education. We serve over 23,000 students in northern Sacramento County who come from families that speak 47 different languages. Twin Rivers serves an 82 square mile area covering the communities of Arden Fair, Del Paso Heights, Dos Rios, Elverta, Foothill Farms, Gardenland, McClellan Park, Natomas, Northgate, North Highlands, North Sacramento, Robla, Rio Linda and Woodlake. Twin Rivers Mission is to inspire each student to extraordinary achievement every day. Twenty-three percent of the district’s students are English Learners and fifteen percent are students with disabilities.

Twin Rivers is excited to be part of the California Engagement Initiative. We strive to build trusting relationships with families and the community that promote two-way engagement. A primary focus of our work is that we support student academic achievement through an increased focus is promoting learning through strategic engagement. Ensuring the diverse needs of families are met is at the center of our work and we are eager to participate in year two of cohort III to continue to learn best practices and effective approaches that best engage families and the community in authentic and meaningful ways.
