Ontario-Montclair School District

Our Community, Our Children, Our Commitment, Our Future

The Ontario-Montclair School District serves a 26 square-mile area which covers most of the city of Ontario, Montclair, portions of Upland, and unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County. The District is the third largest elementary district in California. OMSD and its community of families, students, and staff work to promote high academic expectations and student social-emotional health, wellbeing and diversity. Ontario-Montclair School District serves a student population of 18,909 students.

We are very proud to highlight three California Distinguished Schools, eleven Gold Ribbon Schools, International Baccalaureate (IB) Schools, nineteen Pivotal Practice Awardees, a GATE Magnet, a Science Magnet, Dual Language Academies in Spanish and Mandarin, Arts-integrated Magnets at elementary and middle school, an Online Academy and AVID at elementary, and middle schools.

OMSD has prioritized engaging families as partners in the educational journey of their children. Through a new department, Family and Community Engagement, the district has expanded learning and engagement opportunities to parents, grown parent leaders to engage with 33 OMSD schools and successfully hosts three district-wide community events. To continue building success of our family and community engagement, we will continue to provide families a Parent Education Center that develops family capacity to ensure students are supported academically and social-emotionally, parent leadership opportunities that allow them to build meaningful engagement, and shared family engagement that recognizes families as equal partners.
